How to sell my car?

When it comes to selling a car, there are several different options available to a seller. Each option comes with its own positive and negative aspects.

Firstly, you could sell through a local newspaper. The positives points are that you’ll reach a lot of potential local buyers, viewing the car will be easy for local people, therefore a potential sale could be quite quick. The negative aspect of a local paper is that you won’t reach a very large audience so a ‘good’ sale may be harder to achieve.

Secondly, you could put your car up for sale at the side of the road. If you live near a busy road then you may get a lot of people to see it, if you don’t then the chances are that no one will ever see it or indeed buy it.

Thirdly, there is the option of selling at an auction, either online or at an auction house. It’s very likely that you’ll sell your car, but it’s entirely possible that you won’t get anywhere near as much for it as you expected.

Fourthly, you could advertise online at a used car website. You’ll get a wide audience but you may have to respond to a lot of people and a sale may take a long while. If you put your details on these websites then you’ll also be contacted a lot of agencies and scammers (scammer companies pretend that they have a potential buyer lined up, charge you money for this information and then it turns out that there is no buyer).

The quickest and easiest way to sell your car would be to talk to Sell Car UK. We take all the hassle out of selling your car by offering an efficient service with no haggling on price. We make you an offer and you choose whether or not to accept it, it’s that easy.
