Driving offences – support available every step of the way

The new sentencing guidelines introduced in respect of certain driving offences sadly involving one or more deaths which became applicable to everyone sentenced on or after 4 August 2008 have gone some way to increasing clarity and raising the seriousness of the worst driving offences.

Other driving offences such as a speeding ticket or drink driving may not automatically result in imprisonment, but can still prove problematical for the offender.Unless you know your way around driving law, our legal system and the associated procedures that must be adhered to in order to successfully defend your court appearance, you could find yourself on the losing end of a conviction which could adversely affect your future earnings and indeed, your career.

When a person is convicted of a driving offence, UK Courts are obliged to endorse the person’s licence, and where appropriate even disqualify that person from driving. There are however mitigations or special reasons which, if can be proved to be relevant and applicable at the time the offence occurred, gives an offender a chance of avoiding an endorsement on their driving licence or disqualification.

Anyone who feels there are mitigating circumstances should at the very least think very, very carefully about appointing expert legal representation for their court appearance.Just like anything other business, there are specialists who have built up their knowledge over the years and have made it their career to defend driving offences in the courts.

At roadtrafficlawdirect, we have a team of experts who know their way through the entire process and are able to provide that all important legal representation. We have built our reputation on the back of successfully defending many various driving offences all over the country helping their customers stay on the road.

Their legal expertise will be there every step of the way to ensure fair and above all, correct treatment.
